Something New Is Sprouting โ Come Grow With Us!
There is nothing quite like the very first day in a new garden. The soil is freshly turned, the seed packets are spread out on the table, and everything wonderful is still ahead. That’s exactly where Sunflower Story Garden is right now, and I am looking for one or two co-op leaders to grow this co-op with me!
We are looking for moms who also envision singing circle songs under the oaks, making lanterns to glow on Lantern Walk in November, gathering outdoors at the potluck table, and children who come to know each other like cousins. You would be there helping it to take shape from the start.
What a co-leader does
๐ป Dreams and plans with me. Together we’ll sketch out the seasonal calendar, shape our weekly gatherings, and prepare the festivals: the stories, songs, handwork and all the little supplies that make them magical.
๐ฟ Helps tend the garden. Every co-op has its everyday tasks, like messages to families, RSVPs, and who’s bringing what to the shared table. With a few of us sharing them, they go quickly, and they’re much more fun.
๐ฏ๏ธ Holds the circle. As co-leaders to direct the flow of the day, you would help with circle time, story time, facilitating outdoor activities and the flow of the gathering with me. And if I ever have an emergency (or vice versa), you would still be able to be counted on to lead so the children can have their day to gather together and their time outdoors, just as they expect.
โ๏ธ Shows up week after week. This is the heart of it! A co-leader is a steady, smiling face that the children and the other mothers can count on, as often as life allows.
What you receive
Co-leaders pay no dues. It’s our thank-you for helping lead. Your family joins in everything as full members of the circle: the weekly gatherings, the monthly festivals, the shared table and the materials.
Best of all, you’ll get to help shape something beautiful from its very first season, and your children will grow up right in the middle of it.
You don’t need to be a Waldorf teacher, or a Waldorf anything! What matters most is a willing heart, a steady presence, and a love of little ones learning outdoors. We’ll learn the rest together as we go.
Ready to dig in?
If you’re feeling the call, please fill out the application on our Admissions page and tell us more about yourself and that you would like to be considered as a co-leader. Thank you and I look forward to speaking with you!
Come grow this garden with me! ๐ป
