Gathering the day into our hearts before we head home

One unhurried day, rather than five hurried ones.
We are starting small on purpose. One day a week is enough to build real friendships, keep a steady rhythm, and celebrate the turning year together — and it leaves your family’s own days at home unhurried and intact.
This day is meant to brighten and enrich the learning you already do. You remain the heart and the first teacher of your child’s life, and nothing here is designed to take that place.

Gathering in, and going out again.
A day has a breath to it. We draw in — circle, story, careful work at the table — and then we breathe out again into play, movement, and the open air. Children meet concentration and freedom in turn, and neither one wears them thin.
You will see it in the shape of the morning: a quiet time is always followed by a lively one, and a lively one always comes home to quiet.
What to bring, what to wear.
- Clothes that can get muddy. We go outside in nearly all weather, and good work leaves marks.
- Boots or sturdy shoes, and a change of socks in the bag.
- A rain jacket through the wet months, and a sun hat through the bright ones.
- A water bottle, named, that can live in the bag all day.
- Lunch — your own protein, plus a dish to share when it is your family’s turn at the table.
- No screens or store-bought characters — our days are screen-free, and it keeps the play open and the imaginations busy.
A day, in pictures.
Photographs from our days together will gather here as the seasons turn.
Come see a day for yourself.
The truest way to know whether this is right for your family is to spend a morning with us.
